20-Year Celebration Manor Food Pantry Launch $500,000 Goal

Two Decades of Answering the Call

Dear Friends, Supporters, Community Leaders, Donors, and Partners,

For the past 20 years, the African American Youth Harvest Foundation (AAYHF) has stood on the frontlines serving children, youth, families, seniors, and individuals throughout Central Texas who are facing crisis, trauma, poverty, hunger, violence, mental health challenges, housing instability, and hopelessness.

On June 3, 2026, we proudly celebrate 20 years of service to the Central Texas community, two decades of answering the call when families had nowhere else to turn.

What began as a vision to create hope and opportunity for underserved communities has grown into one of the most unique and impactful, Black-led wraparound service organizations in the nation. Under one roof, we have united 35 Black and Brown-led nonprofits; and together, we serve everyone.

Through our “Cradle to Contributor” model, we have helped transform lives through mentoring, food assistance, trauma recovery, counseling, workforce development, STEM programming, family stabilization services, and youth leadership development.

Launching the 2nd Satellite Resource Center & Food Pantry in Manor

But today, our community’s needs are greater than ever before. Families are struggling with rising food costs, housing instability, mental health trauma, unemployment, and financial hardship. Every week, more people come through our doors seeking food, counseling, support, and hope for a better future.

That is why we are urgently preparing to launch our 2nd Satellite Resource Center and Food Pantry in Manor, Texas, a major expansion that will dramatically increase our ability to serve families throughout the region.

  • Serve nearly 3,000 families monthly with food assistance
  • Expand trauma recovery and mental health services
  • Increase workforce and family support programs
  • Provide additional youth development and mentoring services
  • Expand emergency assistance and case management support
  • Strengthen outreach to underserved and rural communities

The Need Is Urgent. The Community Is Depending on Us.

At the same time, we are working to preserve and purchase the building that has served as our headquarters for the past 16 years, while continuing to operate at more than 200% above our contracted service levels.

Our immediate goal is to raise $500,000 to help sustain and expand critical services, including daily operations and staffing, food pantry expansion and distribution, transportation vans and outreach support, mental health and trauma recovery services, youth and family programming, expansion of the Harvest Trauma Recovery Center, purchase and preservation of our longtime service facility, and launch of the Manor Satellite Resource Center.

This is more than a fundraising campaign. This is an opportunity to preserve a trusted community institution that has spent 20 years serving those too often forgotten, overlooked, and left behind.
