THERE IS STILL TIME TO DONATE SCHOOL SUPPLIES!

Your support is always appreciated and goes a long way for our youth and families.

July 25 – Weekly Boys2Men (B2M) male mentoring meeting.

Also, on July 25, a planning meeting for the girl’s mentoring group was held in preparation for these meetings to resume on August 1.

Our inspiring boys’ (B2M/Boys2Men) and girls’ weekly Mentoring Groups have started back up as of July 18!

AAYHF participated in multiple community events this past week as well as hosted an Employment Readiness workshop at our Offices!

There was a Nelson Mandela event hosted by Dell Technologies and Reup Day of Giving at Rosewood /Doris Miller Auditorium hosted by WorkingGroup512.

Giving a kind thank you to Our Lady of the Angels Maternity Shelter of Temple, Texas, who will be participating in our August 12 Back-to-School Community Event. They will provide diapers and wipes if you are pregnant or have a child under 36 months.

DELL TECH CREW

AAYHF and Dell Technologies are in partnership with Manor ISD working, training, mentoring in educating Dell Student Tech Crew of Manor how to diagnose and repair Chromebooks.

Outstanding News here! Two AAYHF youth earn their Dell Tech Certification!

STEM, Technology, 3-D Printing, Gaming & Coding and more is offered at no charge for youth ages kindergarten through 12th grade inside of the Dell Tech Lounge.

STEM workshops are one of the continuous programs that AAYHF offers for young people.

What is STEM? STEM consists of the natural sciences, technology-related, engineering and math fields.

Austin Legal Access has launched a new law firm, located inside of the African American Youth Resource Center at 6633 E Hwy 290, Suite 303, Austin, Texas 78723. ALA opened its doors for legal services on March 6, 2023. Executive Director and Managing Attorney, Dyan Lofton, will be accepting cases in the following areas: Criminal Defense, Family Law, and Wills/Probate.
